Job Description

Job Summary Join our dedicated healthcare team as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Live-In Caregiver, providing compassionate, comprehensive care to a quadriplegic client (and his two small dogs). This vital role combines clinical expertise with personalized support, ensuring the client receives high-quality nursing care while enjoying the comfort of his own home. As a live-in caregiver, you will foster trusting relationships, provide companionship, and stability. Your expertise in various medical procedures and patient assessments will be instrumental in delivering exceptional care around the clock. Duties Administer medications accurately and maintain proper documentation as described in orientation Conduct thorough patient assessments, vital signs monitoring, and physical examinations to evaluate health status. Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs), dressing, bowel/bladder care, mobility support with Hoyer lifts, and light wound dressing. Maintain detailed medical documentation using EMR/EHR systems while ensuring compliance with HIPAA and long-term care regulations. Collaborate with healthcare teams diagnostic regarding evaluations to optimize patient outcomes. Requirements Valid LPN license with current state certification; experience working in skilled nursing facilities or hospitals preferred. Demonstrated expertise in critical care settings Strong background in geriatrics and long-term care regulations Knowledge of infection control practices, sterile techniques, and medication administration Excellent caregiver communication skills paired with a compassionate approach to working with individuals with disabilities or developmental challenges. Ability to work independently in a live-in setting while maintaining professional boundaries and confidentiality. Pay:
$22.00 - $25.05 per hour
