Job Overview We are looking for a kind, dependable, and compassionate As-Needed Caregiver to provide occasional coverage in a small Certified Family Home in Idaho Falls. This is a flexible, as-needed position primarily for coverage during appointments, emergencies, vacations, surgeries, or other times when the primary caregiver is unavailable. You will be caring for one adult resident in a comfortable home environment. Our goal is to find someone who can become a familiar, trusted face and provide safe, respectful, and compassionate care when needed. Responsibilities Provide companionship and supervision Assist with daily needs as outlined in the resident's care plan Provide medication assistance as trained and authorized Prepare simple meals and snacks as needed Perform light household tasks related to resident care Follow the resident's care plan and Certified Family Home procedures Communicate any concerns or changes to the primary caregiver Maintain a safe, respectful, and comfortable environment Qualifications Must be at least 18 years old Dependable, patient, compassionate, and trustworthy Able to travel to Idaho Falls Experience with dementia or Alzheimer's care is preferred, but not required Must be willing to complete required training and background screening Required background check, CPR/First Aid, and medication training will be paid for/provided Must be comfortable working independently in a home setting Schedule This is not a regularly scheduled full-time position. Hours are available on an as-needed basis and may include occasional daytime, evening, overnight, weekend, or extended coverage depending on need. We're looking for someone interested in building a long-term, comfortable relationship with our resident and becoming a trusted backup caregiver for our family.
