Responsibilities Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene Monitor patients' health by observing vital signs and overall condition; report any concerns promptly Support medication administration following care plans and HIPAA regulations to ensure privacy and safety Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with meal consumption when necessary Facilitate patient transfers using manual handling techniques such as Hoyer lifts and patient transfer methods Maintain detailed documentation of patient care activities, observations, and progress in compliance with healthcare standards Provide companionship and emotional support to residents, fostering a positive environment that promotes dignity and respect Qualifications Prior experience working with individuals with disabilities, neurodevelopmental disorders, or in senior care settings such as nursing homes or assisted living facilities Knowledge of patient observation techniques, medication administration, vital signs monitoring, and first aid/CPR certification Familiarity with dementia care, Alzheimer's care, memory care, hospice care, and managing residents' needs Ability to perform heavy lifting and manual handling safely while adhering to safety protocols Experience working with individuals with autism or developmental disabilities is highly desirable Strong communication skills for effective client interaction and team collaboration Valid certifications in first aid and CPR; additional training in HIPAA compliance preferred Embark on a fulfilling career path where your dedication directly enhances the quality of life for others.
