Full-time, Part-time Our community needs your help! Home Instead is hiring part time caregivers to perform the essential work of keeping aging adults safe and comfortable at home. Home Instead provides a variety of non-medical services that allow aging adults to remain in their home and meet the challenges of aging with dignity, care and compassion. This position is primarily for clients in Rochelle, Dixon, DeKalb, Genoa, Maple Park, Hinckley, Sandwich, Ottawa, and surrounding communities.

Availability:

Monday•Sunday 7am-3pm or 2pm-10pm for part-time, or Monday•Sunday 7am-8pm for full-time

Benefits :

Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the well-being of clients. Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients, ensuring their comfort and security. This includes day-to-day housekeeping tasks such as sweeping, dusting, mopping, washing the dishes, making the bed, completing laundry, etc. Monitor client health and report any changes or concerns to the office. Engage clients in social activities to keep them engaged throughout the shift. Assist with transportation needs for appointments or social outings as required. Document care provided and maintain accurate records of client progress. Prior to working for our clients, all Home Instead caregivers-we call ours Care Pros-will go through specific paid training designed by Home Instead and will receive an in-house certification in Personal Care tasks. These tasks include demonstrating ability to assist our clients with grooming, bathing, continence care, and mobility. After training, our Care Pros will feel confident going into the client's home and helping to support their emotional, physical and mental well-being. Requirements to be a Home Instead Care Pro are: Valid driver's license and a reliable vehicle, with a willingness to transport clients as needed is a requirement Ability to treat and care for aging adults and their property with dignity and respect Ability to communicate with clients in a friendly and compassionate manner Demonstrated reliability and trustworthiness Must be available to work a schedule of 16-40 hours per week Preferred availability of 7am-3pm or 3pm-10pm Monday-Sunday for part-time employment, or 7am-10pm Monday-Sunday for full-time employment This role offers an opportunity to make a significant impact on the lives of those you assist while fostering a supportive environment that promotes dignity and respect for every individual.
