Job Description

The Home Health Attendant Care Staff provides direct, hands-on assistance to clients in their homes to support daily living activities, promote independence, and ensure a safe and comfortable environment. This role focuses on maintaining the client's dignity, well-being, and quality of life. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, grooming, and personal hygiene, dressing, mobility assistance, and toileting and incontinence care. Provide support with instrumental activities of daily living (IADLs), such as, meal preparation and feeding assistance, light housekeeping (participant's laundry, cleaning, and organizing participant's living area), participant's grocery shopping, errands, and medical appointments within close proximity to the participant's home. Monitor and report changes in client condition, behavior, or environment to Attendant Care Manager and/or Administrator. Assist with medication reminders of the participant. Provide companionship and emotional support to reduce isolation and improve mental well-being. Ensure a safe home environment, including fall prevention and proper use of adaptive equipment. Follow individualized care plans (POC)and person-centered service plans (PCSP). Maintain confidentiality and compliance with all applicable policies, including HIPAA. Communicate effectively with family members, case managers, Adult Day Program Administration, and healthcare professionals. Skills and Competencies Compassionate, patient, and dependable Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Basic understanding of safety and infection control practices Time management and organizational skills Working Conditions Work performed in clients' homes with varying environments May require lifting, bending, and assisting with mobility Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed Physical Requirements Ability to operate a Hoyer Lift Prolonged standing, walking, and physical activity Manual dexterity for assisting with personal care tasks Qualifications Required for Position High school diploma or equivalent preferred Experience in caregiving, home health, or related field preferred CPR/First Aid certification within six months of employment Ability to pass criminal background check and drug screening Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
Pay:
$16.00 - $18.00 per hour
