Overview:

We are seeking a reliable, organized, and proactive Household Manager / Family Assistant to help manage the daily needs of a busy family and home. This role combines household organization, light housekeeping, childcare, driving, laundry, errands, and pet care.

Responsibilities include:

Household Organization & Maintenance:

Manage daily household organization, tidying, and light cleaning of bedrooms & common areas. Organize and maintain closets, pantry, mudroom, children's belongings, and other household storage areas. Coordinate household services, deliveries, maintenance, repairs, and appointments as needed.

Laundry & Household Supplies:

Handle family laundry and linens. Grocery shop and assist with light meal preparation, taking any dietary preferences or restrictions into account. Monitor household supplies and ensure essentials are consistently stocked. Complete household errands, returns, and exchanges.

Children & Family Support:

Help manage children's daily schedules, sports & school equipment, meals and snacks, and routines. Provide school pickup and safely transport children to sports, activities, appointments, playdates, and other commitments. Provide occasional evening and overnight childcare in our home when parents are traveling.

Pet Care:

Provide daily dog care, including feeding and walks, medications, and appointments. Provide overnight dog care in our home during family travel.

Travel & Additional Family Support:

Assist with packing and travel preparation for the family. Help prepare the household for guests and assist with hosting responsibilities as needed. Provide support with other day-to-day family needs as they arise. The ideal candidate is warm, trustworthy, highly organized, flexible, and self-motivated . They are proactive and observant, naturally noticing what needs to be done and taking initiative without requiring constant direction or oversight. They bring a positive, dependable presence and can adapt easily to changing needs while consistently following through on responsibilities. Prior household management, family assistant, or childcare experience preferred. Must have a valid driver's license, clean driving record, excellent references, and flexibility for occasional overnights.

Schedule & Availability:

The primary schedule is Monday-Friday, 1:00 PM-7:00 PM , with one or two evenings per week extending until approximately 10:00 PM . The schedule may vary from week to week based on the needs and activities of the family, so flexibility and adaptability are essential. The position requires availability for at least one weekend per month , as well as occasional overnight stays. When an overnight stay is required, weekday hours will be adjusted accordingly, with additional time off provided to maintain a balanced schedule. This is primarily a live-out position , with overnight stays occurring as needed and in advance whenever possible. We are looking for someone who is comfortable with a dynamic schedule and can adapt with a positive, flexible attitude. The anticipated start date is November 2026 .

Compensation:

Highly Competitive. A family vehicle is also provided during working hours.

Pay:

$45.00 - $50.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
