Job Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Older Adult Companion and Caregiver to provide personalized support and assistance to our 70 year old female relative suffering with a chronic illness. She lives in a beautiful quiet setting. In this vital role, you will foster a safe, engaging, and respectful environment, ensuring residents' well-being while promoting independence. Your energetic approach will help enhance quality of life through attentive care, meaningful interaction, and support. This paid position offers an opportunity to make a positive impact every day. Duties Offer companionship and emotional support Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support if needed Assist with the care of her dog which provides emotional support Prepare nutritious meals tailored to dietary needs Help with light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning living areas, laundry, light yard work, etc. to maintain a safe and hygienic environment Provide personal transportation assistance for appointments or errands; support community engagement activities Experience Must be able to drive a vehicle safely and have no driving infractions Must have local references in Poolsville Must be exceptionally patient, kind, and flexible Must be calm and comfortable around animals especially dogs Must be able to use email and texting applications on computer and phone Proven ability to handle heavy lifting safely and perform manual handling tasks effectively Strong communication skills for client interactions and those with family members This rewarding role is designed for energetic individuals eager to make a meaningful difference every day.
