Duties Assist my mother with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene to ensure comfort and dignity. Prepare a meal each afternoon for dinner, and clean up the kitchen afterward. Remind her to take her medicine each day Try to keep her active during the time you are there by working puzzles, having her color, taking her for short walks if the weather is nice or playing other simple games. Make brief journal entries each day to document her mood, behavior, and activities. Skills Some experience working with elderly individuals with dementia or alzheimer's. Ability to make simple meals. Familiarity with care plans and implementation tailored to each client's needs. Patience and kindness.
