Job Description

Job Overview Join our dedicated team as a 1st Shift Caregiver/Medtech and become a vital part of providing compassionate, high-quality care to residents in a supportive and engaging environment. This role is perfect for energetic, detail-oriented individuals who are passionate about enhancing the lives of seniors and individuals with disabilities. As a Caregiver/Medtech on first shift, you will play a key role in assisting residents with daily activities, administering medications, and ensuring their safety and comfort. Your proactive approach and caring nature will help foster a warm, respectful atmosphere where residents feel valued and supported every day. Duties Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support Administer medications accurately following prescribed protocols and document all medication activities Monitor vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature to ensure resident health and well-being Provide specialized care for residents with Alzheimer's disease, dementia, or memory impairments through tailored activities and support Support residents during meal preparation, feeding, and hydration to promote proper nutrition Practice safe patient lifting techniques and manual handling to prevent injury for both residents and staff Engage in behavior management strategies to support residents with developmental disabilities or cognitive challenges Maintain cleanliness of resident rooms and common areas by performing light cleaning duties in accordance with health standards Communicate effectively with clients, families, and team members to ensure coordinated care plans are followed Follow all safety protocols including first aid procedures and CPR to respond promptly to emergencies Experience Prior assisted living or long-term care experience is highly preferred Familiarity with nursing home procedures, residential care homes, or home & community care environments Knowledge of medication administration, vital signs monitoring, and safe patient handling practices Experience working with seniors or geriatrics populations is advantageous Demonstrated ability to provide compassionate caregiving in group home or retirement home settings This role offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference every day while working in a supportive environment that values your skills and dedication. Pay:
$15.00 - $17.00 per hour
