Job Description

Starting at $ 16 /hr - $ 17 /hr. with an excellent work environment (including 24/7 support) and full-time or part-time available for companion care positions in Grand Haven, Holland, Jenison and the surrounding areas!

This is a non-hands-on, non-medical role designed for clients who are largely independent with their physical care but need companionship, transportation, meal assistance, or light household help to remain safely in their home.
Key Responsibilities Companionship & Socialization:
Engage in meaningful conversations, share stories, play games, support hobbies, and foster a warm, uplifting connection.
Transportation & Errands:
Drive clients to medical appointments, social events, religious services, or run errands such as grocery shopping.
Light Housekeeping & Meals:
Assist with light cleaning, vacuuming, laundry, dishes, meal preparation, and nutrition encouragement.
Medication Reminders:
Provide timely verbal prompts for scheduled medications (non-administered).
Safety & Fall Prevention:
Maintain a safe home environment, assist with long-distance check-ins, and support light maintenance (e.g., small household repairs, yard tidying, pet care).
Family Relief & Respite:
Step in to offer periodic respite breaks for family caregivers.
Specialized Engagement:
Support Veteran clients with camaraderie and respect for military culture, or provide gentle cognitive stimulation for early-stage memory care. Requirements & Qualifications Compassionate, patient, and empathetic demeanor. Valid driver's license, reliable personal vehicle, and active auto insurance. Ability to pass background checks. Strong communication skills and active listening ability. No professional medical background or state licensure required.
