In this role, you will play a crucial part in assisting clients with their daily activities, ensuring their well-being, and providing invaluable peace of mind to their families.
Key Responsibilities Personal Care:
Assist clients with daily living activities, including bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting.
Companionship:
Provide meaningful interaction, conversation, and emotional support.
Medication Reminders:
Administer or remind clients to take medications according to prescribed care plans.
Health Monitoring:
Monitor and accurately record vital signs (e.g., blood pressure, temperature).
Mobility Support:
Assist with transfers, positioning, and mobility (including heavy lifting when necessary).
Meal Preparation:
Plan, cook, and serve nutritious meals, assisting with feeding if required.
Light Housekeeping:
Perform basic tidying up, laundry, and maintaining a clean environment.
Transportation:
Accompany or drive clients to medical appointments, grocery shopping, or social outings.
Documentation:
Maintain accurate, up-to-date daily notes on the care provided.
Job Qualifications & Requirements Experience:
Previous experience as a Caregiver, Home Health Aide (HHA), or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) is preferred (but we are willing to train the right candidate!).
Reliability:
Valid driver's license and a reliable, personal vehicle are highly preferred/required.
Certifications:
First Aid and CPR certifications are a plus.
Specialized Care:
Experience working with individuals on the autism spectrum or other special needs is a plus.
Skills:
Strong communication skills, empathy, and the ability to work independently while following a customized care plan.
