Job Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver/Personal Assistant to provide exceptional support to individuals in need of assistance with daily activities and personal care. Duties Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting to promote comfort and dignity Support patients with mobility using proper patient transfer methods such as Hoyer lifts and manual handling techniques Monitor vital signs and observe patient conditions to identify changes or concerns promptly Prepare nutritious meals tailored to dietary needs, including specialized diets for dementia or Alzheimer's care Administer medications accurately following care plans and HIPAA regulations for patient privacy and confidentiality Provide companionship and emotional support, fostering a positive environment for residents or clients Assist with light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and maintaining a safe living space Support clients during medical appointments or community outings using personal transportation assistance Follow established care plans, document observations accurately, and communicate effectively with healthcare teams Ensure residents' rights are upheld by respecting autonomy, privacy, and individual preferences Requirements Prior experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health environments is highly preferred Knowledge of patient observation techniques and monitoring vital signs is essential Experience with dementia care, Alzheimer's care, memory care, or neurodevelopmental disorders is advantageous Certification in First Aid and CPR is required; ongoing training is encouraged Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and maintaining patient confidentiality is mandatory Ability to perform heavy lifting safely using proper manual handling techniques and assistive devices like Hoyer lifts Strong communication skills for effective client interaction and teamwork Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, or overnight shifts as needed Demonstrated compassion for individuals with disabilities or developmental disabilities support experience is valued Join us in providing compassionate care that truly makes a difference!
