Job Description
Caregiver / Direct Support Professional - Adults with Disabilities - 7 Days On / 7 Days Off PCGH, Inc. ( formerly Person County Group Homes ) is hiring two full-time Direct Support Professionals for our rotating live-in schedule. PCGH has served adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities and traumatic brain injuries in Person County since 1975. Our residential staff help the people we support with everyday routines, personal care, activities, and other needs that help them live as independently as possible.
Schedule:
7 days on, followed by 7 days off
Starting Pay:
At least $15.50 per hour, including applicable differentials

2 How the 7-on / 7-off schedule works You work seven consecutive days, then have seven consecutive days off. This is a full-time position with at least 40 hours of work per week. During your seven-day work period, you stay in furnished housing provided by PCGH, and meals are provided. Working hours generally total 10 or more hours per day and are set and scheduled between 6:00 a.m. and 10:00 p.m., with scheduled overnight rest. Starting pay is at least $15.50 per hour, including applicable differentials. A higher starting rate may be considered based on relevant experience and program assignment. What you'll be doing Most days include a mix of direct support and regular household routines.
Responsibilities may include:
Assisting with daily living skills, personal care, meals, and individual goals Supporting medication and health-related needs as trained and assigned Helping with activities, community outings, and appointments Following individualized service plans and established safety or crisis procedures Completing required documentation accurately and on time Helping maintain a safe, comfortable, and dependable home environment Communicating with coworkers and supervisors about changes, concerns, and day-to-day needs Drive and accompany the people we support to appointments, activities, outings, and other community events What we're looking for A high school diploma or GED is required and you must have a valid driver's license with no restrictions that would prevent you from driving as required for the job. Previous caregiving or direct-support experience is helpful, but we provide the training needed for the position. We are looking for people who are dependable, patient, responsible, comfortable working as part of a team, and able to provide respectful, person-centered support.
