Job Description
Overview Join our dedicated team as an Overnight Caregiver and make a meaningful difference in the lives of people living with chronic diseases. In this vital role, you'll provide compassionate care, ensure safety, and support this client with their overnight needs. Your commitment will help create a comfortable, secure environment where clients feel valued and cared for around the clock. This position offers an opportunity to apply your caregiving expertise in a dynamic, supportive setting that prioritizes dignity and well-being. This job is nightly from 11p-7am Monday Through Sunday. We may hire multiple caregivers for this role to cover the shifts if need be. Responsibilities Monitor clients' safety and well-being throughout the night, conducting regular wellness checks and vital signs assessments as needed Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as toileting, grooming, repositioning, and mobility support using safe patient lifting practices during overnight hours. Give medications reminders per the clients schedule. Respond promptly to residents' calls for assistance, providing compassionate support and comfort during nighttime hours Maintain a clean, safe environment by performing light cleaning duties and ensuring all safety protocols are followed Support client with meal preparation or snacks during the night shift if required Document incidents, changes in condition, or behavioral concerns clearly and promptly to ensure seamless communication with daytime staff or healthcare professionals Experience Prior experience working in home health care, long term care facility, and night shift preferred. Demonstrated expertise in assisting with ADLs, medication reminders, and vital signs monitoring Experience working with individuals with Parkinson's or cognitive disabilities, including Alzheimer's care and memory care settings Knowledge of safe patient lifting practices, manual handling techniques. Familiarity with EMR systems for documentation and client communication is advantageous Strong background in geriatrics, long-term care, or home & community care environments Certification in CPR and First Aid is a plus; additional training in behavior management or dementia care is a plus We are committed to fostering a supportive environment where your caregiving skills can truly shine.
