As a Respite Worker, you travel to homes in the community and provide care and support to individuals with special needs. This role is so important because it gives families and caregivers needed support while helping individuals continue to receive quality care in a familiar and comfortable setting. Job Overview:
We are seeking compassionate individuals to join our team as In-Home Caregivers. As a caregiver, you will provide essential assistance and support to individuals in their homes, ensuring their well-being and comfort.Duties:
- Provide direct care and support to individuals in their homes
- Assist with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Administer medication reminders as needed
- Perform light housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and safe environment
- Prepare meals and assist with feeding if necessary
- Engage clients in meaningful activities and companionship
- Monitor and report any changes in the client's condition to the appropriate healthcare professionals
Experience:
- Willingness to learn
- Ability to work with individuals with autism and other special needs
- Ability to provide quality care for personal needs
- Proficient in-patient care techniques and lifting procedures
- Familiarity with healthcare systems and protocols To be eligible for this position, you must: Be at least 18 years old Have weekend and evening availability Flu shots needed during flu season, obtained no later than October 31st of each year leading into flu season Have a high school diploma or equivalent Have a valid Nevada driver's license in good standing and reliable transportation Have liability insurance Pass a background check and drug screening, including marijuana Be willing to attending trainings and various meetings with the Respite Coordinator to expand knowledge and skill set Have experience working with children or adults with special needs is great but not necessary.
