In this vital role, you will create a safe, nurturing environment while engaging in meaningful activities that promote growth, development, and well-being. Responsibilities Provide attentive supervision and care for children of various ages, including toddlers, preschoolers, and elementary school-age children. Plan and implement engaging activities that support childhood development, early education, and social skills. Administer basic first aid and CPR when necessary, following mandated reporting laws and safety protocols. Communicate effectively with parents or guardians to share updates on progress, behaviors, and daily activities. Support children with disabilities or special needs by adapting activities and providing personalized assistance. Maintain a safe environment by supervising child behavior, managing routines, and ensuring proper child supervision at all times. Assist with daily routines such as feeding, diapering, dressing, and bedtime to promote comfort and security. Qualifications Experience working with children across various age groups, including infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and elementary school-age children. Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices. Demonstrated experience working with individuals with disabilities or special needs is highly preferred. Certification in first aid and CPR is required; ongoing training is encouraged. Strong communication skills for effective parent interaction and team collaboration. Ability to plan age-appropriate activities that foster learning and fun while managing behavior positively. Familiarity with mandated reporting laws related to child safety and welfare. Previous experience in daycare, babysitting, nannying, or youth programs is advantageous.
