Job Description
Overview Seniors Helping Senior In-Home Care Service is seeking an experienced Caregiver to work
OVERNIGHT
several nights between August 24 and August 28. This is a temporary opportunity. Shifts may start as early as 3:00pm and end by 8:30am. Daytime hours will also become available to the person in this position, if desired. There may be opportunity for additional hours past August 28 but these are not guaranteed. This vital role involves providing comprehensive support to clients in their homes, promoting independence, safety, and well-being. As an energetic and motivated caregiver, you will engage with clients to deliver high-quality assistance tailored to their unique needs, fostering a nurturing environment that encourages dignity and respect. Duties Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) in accordance with client's plan of care Monitor clients' health, both physical and cognitive, providing timely medication reminders, and reporting changes to your supervisor promptly. Support client with mobility by monitoring ambulation to ensure safety during movement. Prepare nutritious meals aligned with dietary plans and assist with meal consumption to support overall health. Provide companionship and emotional support, engaging clients in social activities to enhance mental well-being. Adhere to clients' care plans, communicate effectively with family members and your supervisor while adhering to HIPAA regulations. Perform light housekeeping tasks including cleaning, laundry, and maintaining a safe environment. Experience Prior experience working with seniors, especially seniors with Alzheimer's and other types of dementia. Demonstrated ability to observe clients closely for changes in condition and respond appropriately. Knowledge of patient monitoring techniques such as vital signs measurement and medication management. Familiarity with care plans and documentation practices ensuring compliance with HIPAA standards. Strong communication skills for effective client interaction and collaboration with caregiving teams.
