In this vital role, you will provide personalized support to seniors and individuals with disabilities, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. Your energy and enthusiasm will help create a warm, welcoming atmosphere that promotes independence and quality of life for all residents. Duties Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility to promote dignity and independence Administer medications accurately following prescribed protocols and document all medication activities using Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems Provide specialized care for residents with dementia or Alzheimer's disease, implementing memory care strategies and behavior management techniques Support residents during meals by meal preparation, feeding assistance, and ensuring proper nutrition intake Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping duties and adhering to infection control standards Collaborate with nursing staff, social workers, families, and other caregivers to develop personalized care plans that meet each resident's unique needs Requirements Proven experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or home & community care environments is highly preferred Knowledge of dementia care, Alzheimer's care, memory care techniques, and behavior management strategies Certification in First Aid is required; additional certifications such as medication administration or CPR are advantageous Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or disabilities in general is beneficial Ability to operate EMR systems efficiently for documentation purposes Valid driver's license for driving responsibilities related to resident outings or appointments is a plus Strong interpersonal skills with a compassionate approach to caregiving and resident support Physical ability to lift or transfer residents using equipment like Hoyer lifts safely Join us in creating a supportive community where residents feel valued and cared for every day!
