Job Overview Join our dedicated team as an In Home Caregiver and make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals needing support within their own homes. This vital role involves providing compassionate, personalized care to promote independence, safety, and well-being. As an In Home Caregiver, you will assist clients with daily activities, monitor health status, and create a warm, supportive environment that fosters dignity and respect. Your energetic approach and attention to detail will ensure each client receives the highest quality of care tailored to their unique needs. Responsibilities Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene. Provide patient observation and monitor vital signs to ensure health stability. Prepare nutritious meals and assist with cooking to support dietary needs. Support clients with mobility using manual handling techniques and patient transfer methods such as Hoyer lifts. Administer medications following care plans and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations for patient privacy. Maintain accurate documentation of care provided, patient progress, and incident reports. Support clients with memory care needs, including dementia and Alzheimer's care, ensuring safety and engagement. Assist with home & community care tasks such as light cleaning, laundry, and transportation for appointments or errands. Implement infection control procedures including cleaning protocols to maintain a safe environment. Communicate effectively with clients, family members, and healthcare teams to coordinate care plans. Respond promptly to emergencies with first aid or CPR when necessary, adhering to safety standards. Experience Prior experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health environments is highly desirable. Demonstrated knowledge of patient monitoring techniques and dementia or Alzheimer's care is preferred. Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or neurodevelopmental disorders is a plus. Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and maintaining confidentiality in healthcare settings is essential. Proven ability to perform heavy lifting safely and assist with patient transfers using equipment like Hoyer lifts. Background in geriatrics or hospice care enhances your ability to provide compassionate end-of-life support.
