Job Summary We are seeking compassionate and dependable On Call Caregivers to provide high-quality support to clients in various settings, including private homes, assisted living facilities, and community care environments. This role offers flexible scheduling to meet the needs of clients requiring assistance with daily activities and specialized care. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in patient care as well as dementia and Alzheimer's care. A commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to healthcare regulations is essential. This position offers a guarantee of 40 hours a week withe the occasional weekend and holiday coverage. Duties Assisted clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting Provided mobility support, including walking assistance and safe transfers (using lifts when trained) Observed and reported changes in clients' condition or behavior to supervisors or family members Prepared simple, nutritious meals based on client preferences and dietary guidelines Assisted with feeding and ensured proper hydration Offered companionship and emotional support to reduce isolation and improve well-being Performed light housekeeping tasks such as laundry, dishes, and maintaining a clean, safe living space Reminded clients to take medications as directed (without administering, unless authorized) Assisted with errands, grocery shopping, and transportation to appointments or activities Requirements Experience working with seniors in home settings, assisted living, memory care, or similar settings preferred Familiarity with supporting individuals living with Alzheimer's, dementia, or other memory-related conditions Understanding of respecting privacy, dignity, and personal boundaries in a home-like environment Ability to assist with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, meals, and mobility Patient, calm, and compassionate approach, especially when supporting individuals with confusion or memory loss Strong communication skills and the ability to build trust with clients Attentive and observant, with the ability to notice changes in mood, behavior, or overall well-being Dependable and flexible, with availability for day, evening, and night shifts Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license required Guaranteed 40 hours a week with occasional weekend and holiday coverage This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals requiring compassionate caregiving support.
