Job Description

Job Overview. Caregiver needed for client in Brighton, TN. This is a part-time position , 11 ​hours per week! You must be able to pass a background screen . If you are looking for full-time. This is not the position for you. As a Health Aide, you will play a crucial role in providing compassionate care and support to individuals in their homes or community settings. Your responsibilities will include assisting clients with daily living activities, ensuring their comfort, safety, and overall well-being. You will work closely with clients who may have various health conditions, including those requiring memory care or assistance due to developmental disabilities. This position is a Mon-Friday 2 hours on four days and 3 hours on one day. Duties Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting. Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the quality of life for clients. Monitor and document vital signs and changes in client health status. Administer medications as prescribed and ensure proper medication management. Assist with meal preparation and dietary needs, ensuring nutritional requirements are met. Maintain a clean and safe living environment by performing light housekeeping tasks including cleaning, laundry, and cooking. Utilize EMR or EHR systems for accurate medical documentation and record-keeping. Implement care plans developed by healthcare professionals and report any concerns or changes in client condition. Provide specialized care for clients with Alzheimer's, dementia, or other cognitive impairments. Support clients using mobility aids such as Hoyer lifts when necessary. Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect patient privacy and confidentiality. Skills Strong patient observation skills to recognize changes in health status. Experience in assisted living or nursing home environments is preferred. Familiarity with medical terminology and documentation practices. CPR certification is highly desirable. Experience with catheter care and hospice care is beneficial. Ability to work effectively with individuals who have developmental disabilities. Knowledge of senior care practices and home health services is essential. Proficient in cleaning and maintaining a safe home environment for clients. Cooking skills to prepare nutritious meals tailored to client preferences. Long-term care experience is an asset for understanding the needs of elderly clients. This position requires dedication, empathy, and a commitment to enhancing the lives of those you serve while providing essential support in their daily routines.
