Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated In Home Caregiver to provide exceptional support and assistance to individuals in their own homes. This vital role involves delivering personalized care that promotes independence, safety, and well-being. As an In Home Caregiver, you will be a trusted companion and caregiver, ensuring that clients receive respectful, high-quality care tailored to their unique needs. Your energetic approach and attention to detail will make a meaningful difference in the lives of those you serve. This paid position offers an opportunity to work closely with diverse populations, including seniors, individuals with disabilities, and those requiring specialized memory or dementia care. Duties Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene Support patients with medication administration, vital signs monitoring, and adherence to care plans Provide companionship and emotional support to promote mental health and social engagement Prepare nutritious meals tailored to dietary restrictions and preferences Help with mobility and transfers using patient transfer methods such as Hoyer lifts or manual handling techniques Perform light housekeeping tasks like cleaning, laundry, and maintaining a safe environment Offer transportation assistance for medical appointments or community outings while ensuring client safety and comfort Observe and document patient conditions, changes in health status, or behavioral concerns for communication with healthcare teams Follow HIPAA guidelines strictly to protect client confidentiality at all times Support clients with specialized needs such as Alzheimer's care, dementia care, autism support, or neurodevelopmental disorders Qualifications Proven experience working as a caregiver in home health, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or group homes Knowledge of patient observation techniques and ability to monitor vital signs accurately Familiarity with care for individuals with Alzheimer's disease, dementia, or memory impairments Hands-on experience with patient transfer methods including Hoyer lifts and patient personal care assistance Ability to perform CPR and first aid confidently; certification preferred but not required initially Strong communication skills for effective client interaction and documentation of care activities Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or intellectual disabilities is highly valued Ability to lift heavy objects safely and perform manual handling tasks as needed Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure privacy and confidentiality in all aspects of care Valid driver's license or reliable transportation for assisting clients outside the home environment is advantageous Join our team as an In Home Caregiver if you're passionate about making a positive impact through compassionate caregiving.
