Operations Manager Job Summary Harmony Care Collective is seeking compassionate, dependable, and professional caregivers to provide non-medical assistance to older adults and individuals who need support in their homes. Caregivers help clients remain safe, comfortable, and independent by providing personal care, companionship, meal preparation, light housekeeping, and assistance with daily routines. The ideal candidate is patient, trustworthy, observant, and respectful of each client's dignity, privacy, and personal choices. Responsibilities Assist with bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and personal hygiene. Support safe walking, mobility, positioning, and approved transfers. Provide companionship, conversation, encouragement, and approved activities. Prepare simple meals and snacks according to the client's care plan. Provide medication reminders only; caregivers do not administer medications. Perform light housekeeping, including laundry, dishes, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, changing linens, and taking out trash. Assist with approved errands or appointments when authorized. Observe and promptly report changes in the client's health, mood, behavior, appetite, memory, or mobility. Complete accurate visit notes, time records, and required documentation. Immediately report falls, injuries, suspected abuse, safety concerns, or unusual incidents. Follow the client's care plan, company policies, infection-control procedures, and safety guidelines. Maintain confidentiality and professional boundaries with clients and families. Arrive on time, remain for the full shift, and wear the required uniform or approved attire. Required Qualifications Must be at least 18 years old. High school diploma or GED preferred. Caregiving, personal-care, home-care, or healthcare experience preferred. CNA certification preferred but not required for every assignment. CPR/BLS or First Aid certification preferred and may be required. Reliable transportation and dependable attendance. Valid driver's license and automobile insurance if driving is required. Ability to pass required background checks and employment screenings. Ability to provide professional references. Ability to read, understand, and follow written care instructions. Must complete Harmony Care Collective's orientation and required training. Required Skills Compassion, patience, and respect Dependability and punctuality Strong communication and observation skills Ability to follow care plans and instructions Good judgment and problem-solving abilities Accurate documentation and time management Respect for confidentiality and professional boundaries Ability to remain calm in stressful situations Willingness to work independently and communicate with management Preferred Experience Experience assisting individuals with: Alzheimer's disease or dementia Parkinson's disease Intellectual or developmental disabilities Cerebral palsy Limited mobility or fall risks Bathing, toileting, dressing, and transfers Companionship and social-isolation needs Services Outside the Position's Scope Harmony Care Collective provides non-medical care.
Caregivers may not:
Diagnose or treat medical conditions. Administer injections or perform skilled nursing procedures. Change medication dosages or provide tube feeding. Perform unsafe lifting or transfers. Handle a client's finances without written company authorization. Provide childcare, pet care, heavy housekeeping, or outdoor maintenance. Transport clients unless specifically authorized. Perform duties outside the approved care plan. Physical and Scheduling Expectations Caregivers may be required to stand, walk, bend, reach, assist with mobility, and complete light household tasks. Employees must communicate immediately if they cannot safely perform an assigned duty. Hours may vary according to client needs. Caregivers must report to all accepted assignments on time and obtain management approval before changing or exchanging shifts. Harmony Care Collective expects every caregiver to provide respectful, dependable, and compassionate service while protecting each client's safety, privacy, comfort, and dignity.
Pay:
$10.00 - $15.00 per hour
