In this vital role, you will provide compassionate, respectful, and attentive care to residents in assisted living. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your caregiving skills while positively impacting the community. Duties Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support Monitor residents' health by taking vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature regularly and accurately Support residents with memory care needs, including Alzheimer's and dementia care strategies, ensuring safety and comfort Administer medications following prescribed protocols and document all medication activities meticulously Engage residents through meaningful activities, socialization, and group outings to promote mental and emotional well-being Practice safe patient lifting techniques and manual handling procedures to prevent injury for both residents and staff Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning resident areas and common spaces Qualifications Prior experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or residential care homes is highly preferred Knowledge of dementia care, Alzheimer's care, geriatrics, and memory care best practices Ability to assist with ADLs and provide personal care with compassion and professionalism Certification in CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) is required within a week upon hire Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or cognitive disabilities is a plus Strong communication skills to effectively interact with residents, families, and team members Physical ability to perform heavy lifting, assist with transfers, and engage in manual handling safely Join us in creating a supportive environment where every resident feels valued! Pay:
$11.50 - $12.00 per hour Expected hours: 36.0 per week
