Overview Join our dedicated team as a Caregiver In Home in Jarrell, where you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for individuals requiring personalized care and support. This rewarding position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful difference by providing compassionate, comprehensive care in a home setting. You will assist clients with daily activities, monitor their health, and create a safe, nurturing environment that promotes independence and well-being. Responsibilities Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using patient transfer methods such as Hoyer lifts when necessary Monitor and observe patients' health status, including vital signs and overall condition, while maintaining detailed care plans and documentation Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with meal consumption as needed Administer medications accurately following prescribed instructions and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect client confidentiality Support clients with memory care, dementia care, Alzheimer's care, and neurodevelopmental disorders by implementing personalized care strategies Provide personal transportation assistance for appointments or errands to promote community engagement and independence Maintain a clean and safe environment through regular cleaning routines and manual handling procedures to ensure safety for both clients and caregivers Requirements Proven experience working with individuals with disabilities, developmental or intellectual disabilities support, or senior care in settings such as group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health environments Knowledge of patient observation techniques, patient monitoring, medication administration, first aid, CPR certification, and basic life support skills Familiarity with care for residents with dementia or neurodegenerative conditions such as Alzheimer's disease or other memory impairments Ability to perform heavy lifting and manual handling tasks safely using appropriate equipment like Hoyer lifts Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients, families, and healthcare professionals while maintaining confidentiality under HIPAA guidelines Experience working with individuals with autism or other neurodevelopmental disorders is highly valued Valid driver's license or reliable transportation for assisting clients with personal transportation needs Compassionate attitude combined with the physical ability to provide hands-on caregiving support in a home setting Join us in delivering exceptional home & community care that empowers individuals to live their best lives!
