PATH at Stone Summit is a small, close-knit residential mental health program serving young adults (ages 18-30) who are working toward greater independence and emotional wellness. Located in the beautiful Green Mountains of Southern Vermont, PATH provides a warm, home-like environment where residents receive individualized support from a compassionate and dedicated team. As a Direct Support Staff (DSS) team member, you'll build supportive relationships with residents while helping them develop life skills, increase confidence, and achieve their personal goals. What You'll Do. . . . As a Direct Support Staff member, you will: Provide compassionate support and supervision while maintaining healthy professional boundaries. Assist residents with daily living skills and promote independence. Support individualized treatment goals under the direction of the clinical team. Help residents manage emotional challenges using de-escalation, coaching, and crisis intervention techniques. Encourage participation in therapeutic groups, recreational activities, and community outings. Observe, document, and communicate resident progress, behavioral changes, and significant events. Assist with medication room responsibilities after training. Foster a safe, respectful, and welcoming therapeutic community. Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with PATH policies and Vermont regulations. Participate in team meetings, training, and ongoing professional development. Help maintain a clean, organized household by assisting with light housekeeping duties such as dishes, trash removal, and tidying common areas. Perform additional responsibilities that support the well-being of residents and the PATH community. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required Valid driver's license required One year of caregiving, human services, healthcare, or related experience preferred, but not required Strong communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills Compassionate, dependable, and committed to helping others succeed Why Join PATH?
