Job Description

Overview Hours:
7:00 am-3:00 pm Join our compassionate team as a Resident Assistant Caregiver, in an Independent Living house for folks aged 65 and up where you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for residents in a supportive and nurturing environment. This position offers an exciting opportunity to provide personalized care, foster independence, and promote well-being among individuals with diverse needs, including seniors, those with cognitive disabilities, and residents requiring specialized memory care. Your energy and dedication will directly impact residents' daily experiences, creating a warm and welcoming community for all. Responsibilities Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support Monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, and temperature to ensure resident health and safety Support residents with medication administration following prescribed protocols and safety guidelines Provide compassionate care tailored to residents with dementia, Alzheimer's disease, or other cognitive disabilities Operate manual handling equipment like Hoyer lifts safely to assist with resident transfers and repositioning Prepare nutritious meals and snacks in accordance with dietary restrictions and preferences Maintain a clean, safe environment by assisting with light housekeeping tasks and adhering to infection control standards Skills Proven experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or residential care environments Strong understanding of dementia care, memory care techniques, and behavior management strategies Knowledge of first aid procedures, CPR certification, and safe patient lifting practices Ability to operate EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems accurately for documentation purposes Excellent communication skills for engaging effectively with residents, families, and team members Physical stamina for heavy lifting and manual handling tasks required in caregiving roles Familiarity with home & community care practices, long-term care standards, and group home operations Embark on a rewarding career where your caregiving expertise makes a meaningful difference every day. Pay:
$22.00 - $23.00 per hour
