Client homes and community locations Position Summary A to Z Supportive Home Care is seeking dependable, compassionate, and responsible Caregivers to provide supportive services to individuals in their homes and communities. The Caregiver will assist clients with activities of daily living, household tasks, meal preparation, errands, medication-related support, and other services identified in the client's individualized care/service plan. The ideal candidate is patient, respectful, reliable, trustworthy, and committed to helping clients maintain their independence, dignity, safety, and quality of life. Essential Responsibilities Personal & Daily Living Support Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) as authorized and assigned. Provide support with personal hygiene, grooming, dressing, toileting, and other daily routines when included in the client's service plan. Encourage clients to maintain independence and participate in their own care whenever possible. Provide supervision and companionship as appropriate. Assist clients with maintaining a safe and comfortable home environment. Support clients with community participation and daily routines. Household & Homemaking Services Perform light housekeeping and cleaning. Clean and organize commonly used areas of the client's home. Wash, dry, fold, and put away laundry. Change bedding and assist with maintaining a clean living environment. Wash dishes and maintain kitchen cleanliness. Take out garbage and complete other routine household tasks as assigned. Meal Preparation & Nutrition Support Prepare meals and snacks according to the client's preferences, dietary requirements, and service plan. Assist with meal planning and preparation. Clean kitchen areas and dishes after meal preparation. Assist clients with grocery planning and maintaining appropriate food supplies. Errands & Community Support Pick up and deliver groceries and approved household items. Assist with grocery shopping and other approved errands. Pick up prescriptions or medications from the pharmacy when authorized. Assist clients with transportation-related needs when permitted by agency policy and the employee's qualifications. Accompany clients to approved appointments, activities, shopping trips, and community activities when assigned. Medication-Related Support Provide medication reminders, assistance, or other medication-related services only as permitted by the client's care plan, agency policy, and the caregiver's training/certification. Pick up medications from the pharmacy when authorized. Report medication concerns, missed medications, medication changes, or other concerns to the appropriate supervisor. Never perform medication tasks outside the employee's training, authorization, or scope of responsibility. Documentation & Communication Complete all required daily service documentation accurately and timely. Document services provided according to agency procedures. Report changes in the client's condition, behavior, needs, safety, or environment to the supervisor. Immediately report accidents, injuries, incidents, suspected abuse or neglect, medication concerns, or other safety concerns according to agency policy. Maintain client confidentiality and protect private health information. Communicate professionally with clients, families, care managers, supervisors, and other members of the client's care team. Follow each client's individualized care/service plan and agency policies. Professional Expectations Caregivers are expected to: Arrive on time and remain at the client's home for the scheduled service period. Maintain dependable attendance and communicate appropriately regarding absences or lateness. Treat every client with dignity, respect, patience, and compassion. Maintain appropriate professional boundaries with clients and their families. Protect client property and maintain confidentiality. Follow all agency policies, procedures, training requirements, and safety guidelines. Maintain a professional appearance and behavior while representing A to Z Supportive Home Care. Never accept inappropriate gifts, money, loans, or personal favors from clients. Never use a client's financial information, debit/credit cards, or personal property for personal purposes. Never perform tasks that are outside the client's authorized services or the caregiver's training. Qualifications High school diploma or GED preferred. Previous caregiving, home care, direct support, CNA, CBRF, or similar experience preferred. Must demonstrate the ability to work independently in clients' homes. Must be dependable, trustworthy, patient, and compassionate. Must be able to communicate effectively with clients and agency staff. Must be able to safely perform assigned duties and household tasks. Must successfully complete required background checks and agency onboarding requirements. Must complete required agency training before providing services. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation may be required depending on assigned clients and job duties. Physical Requirements The position may require the ability to: Stand, walk, bend, reach, kneel, and perform routine household tasks. Lift and carry household items and groceries within safe limits. Assist clients with mobility or daily activities when authorized and properly trained. Work in a variety of home environments.

Physical assistance, transfers, lifting, or other hands-on care must only be performed when permitted by the client's service plan, agency policy, and the caregiver's training.
