Holidays Paid Time Off Qualifications and Education Requirements:
Must require a bachelor's degree in the Human Service field. A minimum of 10 years of experience in Child Welfare or Human Services will be considered for casework positions
Experience working with families and Child Welfare/OCFS
Effective communication (oral and written),
Strong interpersonal, time management, and organizational skills.
Responsible, self-motivated, and capable of handling multiple task
Working knowledge of computers including Microsoft Word.
Ability to work independently Duties and Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive assessment and reassessment of families as needed.
Complete and/or revise as needed person-centered plan of care.
Develop goals with the family, based on the individual needs of the family.
Provide any education needed regarding child development, appropriate discipline techniques and healthy parent/child bonding patterns
Attend any planning meetings regarding the family and be available to testify when needed in court.
Conduct ongoing safety assessments and goal plan reviews with the family.
Review goal progress and status every 30 days with the family and document any and all concerns pertaining to the goals and overall child well-being
Complete all required documentation in timely and thorough manner.
Maintain guidelines established by the funding sources and Catholic Charities of Oswego County policies and procedures.
Assist and perform other duties as assigned and as are applicable to the position.
Collaborate with community and other service providers needed to eliminate barriers for successful goal completion
ADDITIONAL EXPECTATIONS
Must have valid NYS Driver's License, an acceptable driving record and adequate insurance.
Must comply with all Agency policies and procedures.
Required to understand and abide by the laws, regulations, policies, and procedures that apply to the program or service that you provide.
Required to report any known or suspected violation of laws, regulations, policies, or procedures related to programs, services, agency operations, or personnel of the agency.
Required to maintain accurate documentation including, but not limited to, purchase orders, petty cash, expenditures, mileage records, and time sheets
Attend all trainings as necessary for job performance.
