Description Summary of Duties:
Family Service & Children's Aid Society employs the position of Family Therapist to provide ecosystemic structural family therapy (ESFT) and casework services to assist individuals in attaining a more satisfactory social, economic, emotional, or physical adjustment to their current situation. The Family Therapist is directly responsible to the Family Based Program Director. Clinically the therapist needs to utilize their education, training, judgment, and discretion to direct the therapy as needed in collaboration with their team partner. Clinical guidance and consultation with the program director and external consultant is ongoing as needed, but at least weekly. This position is based at the Agency's Carone Center located at 29 Pearl Avenue in Oil City, PA. This position reports directly to the Family Foundations Program Director of Family Service & Children's Aid Society with formal supervision available on a regular basis and informal supervision available ongoing. This position also reports indirectly to the Chief Executive Officer of Family Service & Children's Aid Society.
Required Skills, Qualifications and Abilities:
Bachelor's degree in psychology, sociology, social work, nursing, rehabilitation, pre-med, theology or anthropology plus 1 year experience in a CASSP system program Have 12 college level semester hours in humanities or social services plus 1 year of experience in a CASSP system program and be enrolled for certification by OMH as a mental health family-based worker. Computer, written and verbal communication, and interpersonal skills. Acts 34-73-151 clearances; valid PA driver's license; and reliable transportation. Additional Details
