Job Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Bilingual Victim Advocate to provide vital support to individuals and families affected by trauma, violence, or high-risk situations. The Bilingual Advocate serves on the front lines of the agency's mission to make the world safer and free from all forms of domestic/sexual violence. This direct service position provides crucial crisis intervention and advocacy to meet the immediate, short-term, and long-term needs of domestic violence/sexual assault survivors. Duties Performs duties within ethical standards, professional guidelines, agency policies, cultural competencies, mandated confidentiality, and a victim-centered approach to service delivery Provide life skills to victims including safety planning, advocacy, accompaniment, decision-making skills, coping skills, goal setting, empowerment and resource assistance Provide direct services to clients / victims of sexual assault Organize and maintain the office files for the CVAC Provide direct services to clients / victims of domestic and/or dating violence/stalking Enter, organize, and maintain the data entry of CVAC client database(s), client index log, and corresponding client file Complete and submit grant required statistical reports in a timely manner Keeping client information packets stocked and up to date incorporating help from office volunteers Assisting clients to help reach immediate and long-term goals Providing follow-up services by establishing contact with and providing support for primary and secondary client Complete and maintain required agency training Answering hotline calls during scheduled working hour Assisting with organization and implementation of client assistance projects Assisting staff with prevention programs, presentations, and community events as needed Be available for hotline on-call as needed each month per company policy Complete any additional duties as assigned by the Program Director and Executive Director

TRANSLATION

Provide translation services for clients, agency documents, and community education Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including social workers, law enforcement, healthcare providers, and legal professionals to ensure holistic client care. Requirements Serves on-call approximately five weekdays and one weekend a month (Must be willing and able to work after 5:00 pm and/or on weekends for client emergencies.) Requires occasional travel for training and/or client services. Mileage for work related travel and training costs are pre-paid or reimbursed by the agency. Bilingual fluency in English and spanish; excellent communication skills in both languages are essential. High school diploma or GED required Associate Degree or 1 year of volunteer/work experience in related field is highly desired but not required Experience working with families or individuals in crisis is highly desired but not required Proficient in Microsoft Office Programs and able to learn data reporting software required Strong skills in conflict resolution/intervention, written and oral communication, and critical thinking required Join us in empowering victims through compassionate advocacy! Pay:

$20.00 - $23.00 per hour Expected hours: 36.0 - 40.0 per week
