The position educates parents on early trauma, attachment, and the lifelong needs associated with adoption, while ensuring access to adoption-competent providers and practitioners. Advocating for families in school and team meetings, organizing and facilitating monthly support groups, conducting home visits and connecting caregivers with training and community resources are key components of this work. We seek someone with strong attention to detail, exceptional collaboration and communication skills, competency in deescalating and resolving sensitive situations respectfully and a deep commitment to child welfare. Our work is critical to providing families with a smooth transition process and ongoing support in the best interests of Vermont's families and children. This is a home-based position that requires in-person work in Windsor and Windham Counties, Vermont. While work is performed primarily from a home office, regular travel throughout southern Windsor and some of Windham County is required to meet with clients.

What You Will Bring:

Bachelor's Degree in Human Services field. Preferred 2 years of professional experience in trauma and adopt-related work or an equivalent of transferrable. professional and lived experience. Strong writing skills, organizational, interpersonal and team skills. Ability to focus on multiple tasks. Ability to work independently and be self-motivated. Ability to accept challenge and adapt to change. Ability to maintain a professional relationship with a variety of people. Ability to maintain a valid VT Driver's License and access to reliable transportation is required; occasional statewide travel may be required.
