The Community Engagement Coordinator will support a federally funded Career Pathways Project that aims to educate youth on the wide range of Behavioral Health careers by building and maintaining relationships with schools, community organizations, behavioral health providers, employers, youth-serving organizations, and other partners throughout the project's six-county service area. This position will serve as a key connection between the Pathways project and the communities we serve. The coordinator will help schools and community partners identify meaningful ways to engage youth in behavioral health career exploration, leadership, mental health awareness, and workforce development opportunities. The ideal candidate is someone who enjoys connecting with people, is comfortable working independently in the community, communicates well with both youth and adults, and can turn relationships and ideas into action. Key Responsibilities Build and maintain relationships with participating schools, school counselors, administrators, educators, behavioral health providers, employers, colleges, community organizations, and other youth-serving partners. Conduct regular outreach and in-person visits throughout the six-county service area. Serve as a primary point of contact for assigned schools and community partners. Help participating schools establish new behavioral health clubs or incorporate behavioral health activities into existing student organizations, based on each school's needs and preferences. Support Youth Advisory Board members and school/community advisors as they plan behavioral health awareness and community initiatives. Assist with recruitment and engagement of youth for Pathways activities, including career exploration events, the Behavioral Health Career Academy, Youth Advisory Board, and other workforce development opportunities. Identify opportunities for students to interact with behavioral health professionals through career presentations, job shadowing, internships/externships, mentoring, site visits, and similar experiences. Recruit and engage behavioral health professionals and community partners to participate in Pathways activities. Help coordinate community events, school presentations, trainings, career exploration activities, and other grant-related programming. Promote Pathways resources and opportunities throughout the region. Gather feedback from schools, students, and community partners and communicate emerging needs, challenges, and opportunities to the Pathways team. Assist with tracking outreach activities, participation, partnerships, project outcomes, success stories, and other information needed for grant reporting. Participate in weekly Pathways team meetings and contribute ideas for improving and expanding the project. Represent ABHIN and the Pathways project at community meetings, school events, conferences, and partner activities as needed. Work closely and report to the Project Manager and other Pathways staff to ensure activities align with grant goals, timelines, and deliverables. Perform other grant-related duties as assigned.

Preferred qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree (master's preferred) in social work, behavioral health, public health, education, communications, community development, human services, or a related field ( equivalent combination of education and relevant experience will be considered)
• Experience working with schools, youth, community organizations, healthcare, or behavioral health
• Experience with community outreach, partnership development, recruitment, or program coordination.

This is a fully remote position; however, the employee must reside in Baxter, Boone, Carroll, or Marion County, Arkansas, and requires regular travel throughout the six-county service area. $39,560.00 - $59,970.15 per year
