Courage Connection believes that every member of our community deserves the education, resources and support to live in safe, healthy relationships. We are seeking an Outreach Coordinator who is as passionate and enthusiastic about our mission as we are. Under the supervision of the Director of Development & Outreach, that primary responsibility of this position is educating the public by cultivating relationships and adhering to our marketing, branding and public education standards and practices. The Outreach Coordinator will implement outreach strategies through in-person engagement and educate on the effects of domestic violence. In addition, this position is responsible for the management of the organization's website and social media channels. This position will assist in the planning and facilitation of community outreach events that support eh mission and vision of the agency. Some nights and weekends will be required.
Facilitate community and public education trainings as assigned by supervisor
Maintain a calendar of outreach activities, including community events, workshops, youth prevention training and other education opportunities
Create social media content, such as videos, photos and written posts that reflect our mission and values of the organization
Create marketing collateral, including flyers, brochures, pamphlets, and press releases
Assist in the marketing needs of other departments throughout the agency
Maintain compliance with all agency policies and procedures, including client and agency confidential standards
Be a champion for the agency, clients and staff at all times
Attend all meetings and complete all forms and reports required by direct supervisor, funders, Executive Director or the Board
Carry out all other assigned or necessary tasks to ensure organizational standards Education and/or
Work Experience Requirements:
Minimum of one-year relevant experience (internships or volunteer work) with computer proficiency, content development and social media platforms. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with clients, staff, and community partners
Passion for advocacy, community outreach, social media and proficiency with major social media platforms and social media management
Computer proficiency (MS Office - Word, Excel, and Outlook)
Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary service
Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within the parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices
Bachelor's degree in related relevant field
Physical Requirements:
Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards
Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards and agency policies Must be able to listen and speak clearly on the telephone
