- Must reside in or near New Orleans, LA) AdviseWell is currently hiring a Bilingual Community Outreach Specialist to help educate Medicare beneficiaries, their families, and caregivers how to prevent, detect, and report Medicare fraud. Primary Qualifications Education 4-year college degree in business, humanities or other related field; Or Experience Two - five years' experience in community outreach and education activities and public speaking preferred. Special Skills Culturally connected with the local community. Must be able to use basic computer programs such as Word and Excel and be comfortable with Internet communication and research. Must pass a background check. Bilingual - Fluency in English and Spanish required . Ability to translate and adapt developed materials from English to Spanish with attention to accuracy, readability, and cultural appropriateness. Physical Moderate physical activity to include occasionally moving, lifting, or pulling up to 25 lbs and standing. Normal manual dexterity and mental and visual attention Other Position is home-based, but regional travel is occasionally required. Essential Responsibilities Conduct education sessions and one-on-one counseling in English and Spanish with Medicare beneficiaries. Conduct presentations in English and Spanish to providers, stakeholders, and other interested groups or programs, and participate in related conferences, events, exhibits as necessary. Conduct environmental scans of the community to determine appropriate venues and activities for presentation of SMP materials. Develop, coordinate, and contribute Spanish-language content for the Hispanic newsletter and social media, including fraud alerts, prevention tips, program updates, outreach opportunities, and community resources. Support the Hispanic hotline by responding to Spanish-language inquiries, providing SMP information and assistance within the scope of the program, documenting contacts as required, and routing complex interactions appropriately. Assists volunteers in the completion of tasks and assignments to ensure continuity of service. Participate in teams, task forces, workgroups & special projects as requested by supervisor. Identifies opportunities and recommends methods to improve service, work processes and financial performance, e.g. expense management. Assists in the implementation of quality improvement initiatives.

Day shift Monday to Friday Weekends as needed
