A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A FAMILYCOMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT COORDINATOR

As the FamilyCommunity Engagement Coordinator, you will be responsible for planning, implementing, and overseeing initiatives that strengthen relationships between the BoysGirls Club of Chicopee, our members, their families, and the community. You will serve as the primary liaison between the Club, volunteers, community partners, schools, and the public, fostering meaningful connections that increase family engagement, expand volunteer involvement, and promote the Club's mission through outreach, events, and communications. The Coordinator develops and maintains partnerships with local schools, businesses, civic organizations, and community agencies while coordinating volunteer recruitment, orientation, scheduling, and recognition. This position also manages the Club's social media presence, oversees facility rentals, supports marketing and development efforts, and assists with organization-wide events and fundraising initiatives that increase community awareness and support for the Club's mission. When not actively supporting these initiatives, you will serve as the lead staff member for the Club on Wheels mobile program. In this role, you will safely operate and drive the Club on the Go vehicle, plan, coordinate, and facilitate engaging activities that bring the BoysGirls Club experience directly into the community. You will oversee the day-to-day operations of the mobile program, ensure the vehicle, equipment, and supplies are organized and ready for programming, collaborate with community partners to schedule outreach opportunities, and create safe, fun, and inclusive experiences that promote youth development, family engagement, and community connection. QUALIFICATIONS FOR A FAMILYCOMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT COORDINATOR

Associates Degree Required or a minimum of three (3) years equilivent combination of education, training and experience in a non-profit organization is preferred Experience working with youth organizations preferred Computer literacy, including the Microsoft Office Suite and social media platforms Excellent leadership, organization, interpersonal, and communication skills, both oral and written Ability to deal with the general public Maintain a high energy level Be comfortable performing multi-faceted projects Must be deemed suitable after initial and subsequent Background Record Checks Must be 21 years or older Valid driver's license with a clean driving record that meets the Organizations insurance and vehicle operation requirements Willingness to comply with company policy regarding background checks

WORK SCHEDULE FOR A FAMILYCOMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT COORDINATOR

This FamilyCommunity Engagement Coordinator position is typically scheduled for up to 35 hours per week, consisting of 7-hour workdays with a 30-minute unpaid meal break. Work hours and days are flexible and based on the needs of the organization. The position regularly requires working evenings and weekends to support family engagement activities, community events, volunteer initiatives, fundraising efforts, rentals, and other BoysGirls Club programs. Flexibility to adjust work hours as needed to meet organizational priorities and community needs is essential.
