Hours:
Approximately 10-12 hours per week
Work Setting:
Hybrid with travel throughout assigned North Carolina service areas Position Summary Bloom Therapy and Wellness is seeking a confident, personable, and results-driven Community Outreach & Referral Growth Coordinator to expand our professional referral network, strengthen our community presence, and generate qualified inquiries for outpatient psychotherapy services. This is not a social-media-only or flyer-distribution position. The coordinator will build productive relationships with healthcare providers, schools, colleges, attorneys, nonprofits, employers, faith-based organizations, and other community partners. The ideal candidate is comfortable initiating conversations, visiting organizations, attending networking events, identifying partnership opportunities, and following up consistently. Responsibilities Research and identify qualified referral sources and partnership opportunities. Develop relationships with healthcare providers, psychiatric practices, schools, colleges, attorneys, employers, nonprofits, community programs, and other organizations. Contact prospective referral partners through personalized emails, telephone calls, virtual meetings, and in-person visits. Meet with referral partners to understand their needs and explain how Bloom may serve as a resource. Create accessible referral pathways between Bloom and community partners. Schedule introductory meetings and partnership conversations for Bloom's owner. Conduct consistent follow-up with new and existing referral partners. Work to have Bloom added to organizational referral and resource lists. Attend approved networking events, health fairs, community meetings, and professional events. Identify opportunities for workshops, presentations, organizational partnerships, and community collaborations. Promote Bloom's clinicians, specialties, accepted insurance plans, appointment availability, and consultation process using approved information. Assist with creating and publishing professional social-media content that supports Bloom's outreach goals. Maintain an accurate outreach database documenting contacts, conversations, visits, follow-ups, meetings, referrals, and outcomes. Track which outreach activities generate qualified inquiries, consultations, and completed intakes. Prepare a concise weekly report summarizing activities, outcomes, upcoming opportunities, and recommended next steps. Perform other reasonable marketing and community-outreach duties consistent with the position. Performance Expectations The coordinator will be expected to: Complete approximately 20-30 new outreach contacts each week. Conduct consistent follow-up with previously contacted organizations. Complete approximately five to ten in-person outreach visits each month. Attend at least two approved networking or community events each month. Work toward developing at least two qualified referral or partnership conversations each month. Maintain complete and timely outreach records. Demonstrate measurable growth in qualified inquiries, referral relationships, and community partnerships over time. Performance will be evaluated by how effectively outreach produces meaningful referral relationships and measurable business growth, rather than activity alone. Required Qualifications At least one year of experience in community outreach, healthcare marketing, referral development, business development, sales, public relations, or a related field is preferred. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Confidence initiating professional conversations by telephone, email, video, and in person. Strong relationship-building, follow-up, and organizational skills. Ability to work independently while following established guidelines. Ability to represent Bloom professionally within the community. Familiarity with social-media platforms and basic content creation. Reliable transportation and the ability to travel locally for outreach activities. Ability to attend occasional evening or weekend community events. Ability to protect confidential business and client information. Willingness to complete HIPAA, privacy, confidentiality, and role-boundary training. Preferred Qualifications Experience working in behavioral health, healthcare, social services, nonprofit outreach, community engagement, or professional services. Existing knowledge of healthcare and community organizations throughout North Carolina. Experience creating referral relationships or generating qualified business inquiries. Experience using Canva, Google Workspace, spreadsheets, email-marketing tools, or customer relationship management systems. Clinical and Professional Boundaries This is a nonclinical position. The coordinator will not diagnose, provide clinical advice, recommend treatment, determine level of care, verify insurance benefits, guarantee coverage, or determine whether a prospective client is clinically appropriate for Bloom. Compensation and Benefits $20-$24 per hour, based on relevant experience. Approximately 10-12 hours per week. Flexible scheduling based on outreach needs. Reimbursement for approved business mileage. Training on Bloom's services, referral process, privacy requirements, and communication standards. Opportunity for increased hours based on performance and business needs. This part-time position does not include employer-sponsored health insurance. About Bloom Therapy and Wellness Bloom is a private psychotherapy practice created for people who want care that feels thoughtful, culturally responsive, and deeply human. Bloom Therapy and Wellness is an equal-opportunity employer. Employment decisions are made without unlawful discrimination based on any protected characteristic.
