The Community Engagement Coordinator is a creative, outgoing, and versatile professional who will support the Development team in advancing Rowan Helping Ministries' mission. This role combines social media management, content creation, community engagement, volunteer recruitment, and team support. The Coordinator will be a key member of the team, serving as a right-hand person to the Director of Development & Community Engagement while helping drive fundraising, volunteer, and community engagement initiatives. Key Responsibilities Communications & Content Creation Create engaging content for social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, etc.) and help manage posting schedules. Design graphics, newsletters, and other materials using Canva, Constant Contact, or similar tools. Take high-quality photos and videos at community events and for campaigns; edit videos for social media and other uses. Support email campaigns, website updates, and other digital communications. Community Engagement & Volunteer Support Represent Rowan Helping Ministries in the community and build relationships with partners, donors, and volunteers. Assist with planning, promoting, and staffing community events and volunteer opportunities. Help recruit, onboard, and engage volunteers in collaboration with the Volunteer Coordinator. Serve as an enthusiastic ambassador for Rowan Helping Ministries, enhancing visibility and outreach. Team & Administrative Support Act as a dependable right-hand to the Director of Development & Community Engagement on special projects, campaigns, and follow-up tasks. Collaborate closely with the Resource Development Associate and Volunteer Coordinator to support team goals. Assist with reporting, data collection, and other administrative duties as needed. Qualifications & Skills Outgoing, personable, and comfortable interacting with a wide range of audiences. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Proficient in social media management, Canva, basic photography and video creation/editing. Highly organized, able to manage multiple projects and deadlines. Self-starter, flexible, and collaborative. Passion for community engagement, volunteerism, and nonprofit development. Preferred Experience Experience (can be volunteer experience) in nonprofit communications, marketing, development, or community outreach. Experience with volunteer recruitment or engagement. Working Conditions Some evening or weekend work required for events and volunteer activities. Travel within the community for outreach, events, and partnership meetings.
Pay:
$18.50 per hour Expected hours: 38.0 - 40.0 per week
