Full-Time/Part-Time Make a Difference Every Day Loving Solutions Residential Services is seeking a compassionate, dependable, and enthusiastic Activity Coordinator to join our Virginia Developmental Disability (DD) Waiver Community Engagement Program. Position Summary The Activity Coordinator provides direct support to individuals receiving Community Engagement services through Virginia's DD Waiver Program. Working from each individual's Individual Support Plan (ISP) and documented outcomes, the Activity Coordinator plans and facilitates meaningful community-based activities that promote independence, social inclusion, relationship building, employment exploration, and personal growth. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Provide person-centered support according to each individual's ISP, support needs, and personal goals. Plan, coordinate, and facilitate meaningful community activities that encourage independence, choice, and active participation. Assist individuals in developing life skills, communication, social skills, and community navigation. Support participation in volunteer opportunities, educational experiences, recreational activities, and other community-based experiences. Safely transport individuals to and from community activities using agency-approved transportation. Complete accurate daily progress notes documenting services provided and progress toward ISP outcomes. Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA requirements. Collaborate with supervisors, QDDPs, families, Support Coordinators, and team members. Follow agency policies, Virginia DMAS regulations, and licensing standards. Promote each individual's dignity, rights, safety, and personal choice. Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or GED required. Associate's or bachelor's degree in Human Services, Psychology, Social Work, Special Education, Recreation Therapy, or a related field preferred. Experience supporting individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities preferred but not required. Strong communication, documentation, and organizational skills. Ability to work independently and manage multiple responsibilities. Requirements Valid Virginia driver's license. Clean driving record acceptable to the agency's insurance carrier. Ability to pass a criminal background check, CPS screening, and all required pre- employment screenings. Reliable transportation. CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain after hire. Ability to safely assist individuals with mobility and lift up to 25 pounds when necessary.
