Membership Drive Coordinator Benevolent Order of the Dragonfly Newport News, VA Job Details Part-time $13 - $16 an hour 3 hours ago Qualifications Client services experience within hospitality industry Hospitality industry experience Grassroots community outreach Prospecting Leadership Full Job Description Membership Drive Coordinator Benevolent Order of the Dragonfly - Lodge 017 The Benevolent Order of the Dragonfly is preparing to open Lodge 017 , and we are seeking an energetic, organized, and outgoing Membership Drive Coordinator to help build the Lodge's founding membership before opening. This is a unique opportunity to be part of a new Lodge from the ground up. The Membership Drive Coordinator will be responsible for introducing prospective members to the Benevolent Order of the Dragonfly, generating interest in Lodge 017, assisting with membership applications, and helping establish a strong base of members ahead of the Lodge's official opening. Responsibilities Conduct community outreach to generate awareness and interest in Lodge 017 Speak with prospective members about the Benevolent Order of the Dragonfly and the benefits of membership Recruit and assist prospective members through the membership application process Follow up with membership leads by phone, email, text, and in person Attend and assist with membership drives, community events, informational sessions, and other promotional activities Maintain accurate records of prospective members, completed applications, and follow-up activity Work closely with Lodge leadership to meet pre-opening membership goals Help develop relationships with individuals, businesses, civic organizations, and community groups in the surrounding area Serve as a positive and professional representative of the Benevolent Order of the Dragonfly Assist with additional pre-opening activities as Lodge 017 prepares to begin operations Qualifications Strong communication and interpersonal skills Comfortable approaching and speaking with new people Highly organized and capable of managing follow-up with multiple prospective members Self-motivated and comfortable working toward membership and outreach goals Professional, dependable, and enthusiastic Ability to work independently while coordinating closely with Lodge leadership Previous experience in sales, membership recruitment, community outreach, political or nonprofit organizing, hospitality, customer service, or a similar field is preferred but not required

Pay:

$13.00 - $16.00 per hour Expected hours: 8.0 - 15.0 per week
