This vital role involves developing engaging religious activities, providing mentorship, and fostering a welcoming environment where children and teenagers can explore their faith, build meaningful relationships, and develop leadership skills. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in religious education, youth engagement, volunteer management, and community outreach, all while embodying compassionate pastoral leadership. Duties Design, implement, and oversee comprehensive youth programs that promote spiritual development, community involvement, and personal growth. Foster a safe, inclusive environment that encourages open dialogue about faith, life challenges, and moral values. Mentor and support children and teenagers through one-on-one guidance, counseling, and mentoring relationships rooted in Christian principles. Coordinate volunteer recruitment, training, scheduling, and recognition to ensure vibrant program participation. Collaborate with clergy members, parents, teachers, and community partners to enhance youth engagement efforts and expand outreach initiatives. Plan fundraising activities and community events to support youth programs while strengthening the organization's presence in the community. Maintain accurate records of program participation, volunteer hours, and event logistics to ensure smooth operations. Qualifications Proven experience working with children and youth in religious or community settings; experience in youth ministry or pastoral work is highly preferred. Strong knowledge of Christian theology, religious studies teaching methods, and social work principles related to youth development. Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate volunteers and team members effectively. Excellent communication skills for engaging diverse audiences including children, parents, volunteers, and church staff. Background in event planning, fundraising, mentoring programs or social work within nonprofit faith-based organizations is advantageous. Ability to provide bereavement support or hospice care as part of holistic pastoral care is a plus.
