Full Job Description Reporting Structure:
Outreach Pastor Church Mission:
Glorifying God together through LIFE (Learning the Word, Investing into Relationships, Following the Way of Christ, Engaging Our World). Position Summary The Global Missions Director will lead Calvary LIFE's global outreach efforts, developing and stewarding partnerships with missionaries, national leaders, and ministries around the world. This role directs the church's strategy for investing in the local church overseas, with the long-term vision of planting and strengthening churches in partner countries. The Global Missions Director will ignite a vision for launching church plants around the world. The Director would oversee mission budgets, recruits and disciples volunteers, and coordinates short- and long-term mission trips, all in alignment with the overall vision of Calvary LIFE.
Specific Job Duties/Responsibilities Global Partner Management:
Build, evaluate, and maintain relationships with global ministry leaders, on-the-ground ministries, and global partners (missionaries). Strategically plan investment in local churches overseas, with a vision toward church planting in partner countries. Cast a strategic global vision and empower mission teams for execution of that vision Evaluate the health and effectiveness of supported churches and ministries on an ongoing basis.
Missionary Care & Mobilization:
Recruit, train, and support missionaries serving in the field. Ensure overseas workers are spiritually, mentally, and logistically cared for. Develop and lead a team to come alongside and support missionaries.
Program & Trip Oversight:
Organize logistics, budgets, and team development for short-term and long-term mission trips. Recruit, disciple, and mobilize volunteers to serve on mission trips and in ongoing global partnerships. Coordinate pre-field training and post-trip debriefing for all mission trip participants.
Budget & Administration:
Manage the allocation of mission funds across partners, missionaries, and trips. Prepare and manage the annual global missions budget in coordination with church leadership. Provide regular reporting on partner ministries, missionary support, and trip outcomes. Ministry Staff Meet regularly with the Outreach Pastor and church leadership. Collaborate with other ministry departments to integrate global missions into the life of the church. Stay informed on global missions' trends, security considerations, and best practices. Personal Responsibilities Actively maintain an intimate, personal relationship with God. Daily practice the LIFE acronym of learning the word, investing into relationships, following the way of God, and engaging our world. Remain connected and growing with the church community as an active participant in weekly church services. Model a genuine heart for the nations and for making disciples of all peoples.
Qualifications Minimum Education:
Degree in Ministry, Missions, Bible, or a related field preferred. Must affirm and align with Calvary LIFE's doctrinal position (https://calvarylife.com/beliefs/).
Minimum Experience:
At least 5 years working for a ministry or church. Previous experience in global missions, either leading short-term mission trips or serving on the mission field, is required.
Minimum Skills:
A genuine heart for preaching the gospel and making disciples of all nations. Proven ability to build and steward cross-cultural relationships. Strong organizational and budget management skills. Ability to recruit, train, and lead volunteers and teams. Schedule & Compensation Full-time position. Schedule includes regular international travel at least 3-5 times a year and some evenings/weekends for team meetings and events. Health insurance benefits available.
Work location:
