Role Description This quarter-time (10 hour per week), year-round, on-site role located in San Carlos, CA, involves serving as the Children and Yourh Director at the Episcopal Church of the Epiphany. Responsibilities include coordinating and leading teen and children's ministry, organizing faith-based activities, and fostering a sense of community among families. The Children and Youth Director will collaborate with clergy, staff and parish volunteers to design and implement programs and resources that support spiritual growth and engagement, including Sunday morning education offerings during the school year and summer programs. Additional responsibilities may include re-creating a youth group for teens and tweens, leading worship, conducting outreach efforts, coordinating and training volunteer teachers, and supervising nursery childcare providers as needed. Ordained and lay applicants are welcome. Qualifications Experience in family ministry, education, community building, or related fields Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with individuals of all ages Demonstrated leadership and program development abilities including volunteer management Background in theology or religious studies, especially Episcopal traditions, is preferred Ability to work collaboratively with staff and volunteers Proficiency in planning events and activities Must demonstrate pastoral sensitivity, with an ability to maintain confidentiality and healthy boundaries Commitment to creating an inclusive and welcoming environment Capacity to cultivate meaningful relationships with both adults and children Teaching in schools or other educational settings a plus Candidates must be willing to participate in all safe-church trainings and meet safe-church requirements including a background check.
Pay:
$15,000.00 - $20,000.00 per year
