Job Description
Position Summary:
Leads Christian education, service, fellowship, and spiritual formation for youth in grades 4-12. Develops age-appropriate programs and coordinates volunteer leaders.
Key Responsibilities:
Average 15 hours/week, including worship, teaching, planning, administration, leader development, and youth fellowship. Collaborate with the Associate Rector to provide Biblically based youth formation aligned with parish ministry. Plan and lead outreach, service, fellowship, camps, and mission trips. Overnight experiences are additionally compensated. Recruit, train, coordinate, and support adult volunteers. Foster welcoming, inclusive environments and age-appropriate mentoring. Communicate with students and parents; welcome and connect new students. Coordinate calendars and intergenerational opportunities. Maintain youth contact, health, and waiver records and use church management software as needed. Manage programs within budget and follow church financial policies. Follow diocesan safety guidelines and ensure appropriately certified adult leaders.
Qualifications:
Youth ministry experience; strong leadership, organizational, communication, and teamwork skills; ability to teach Scripture and Episcopal theology in age-appropriate ways; creativity, initiative, humility, and sound judgment; ability to pass background checks. Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required; Master's preferred. Type of Commitment Part Time Does this job pay? Yes
