This role nurtures spiritual growth, strengthens intergenerational connections, and equips households to practice faith in daily life. The director collaborates closely with clergy, staff, and lay leaders to support the mission of the church and the values of the United Methodist Church tradition. The position requires an educated, visionary, energetic leader with deep biblical knowledge, strong organizational competence, and the ability to build relationships across generations. The director must be a flexible collaborator, a steward of both people and resources, and a disciplined manager of ministry finances.

Children's Ministry Director, Youth Ministry Director, Director of Operations and Leadership Board Core Responsibilities 1. Adult Discipleship & Spiritual Formation Develop and oversee small groups, Bible studies, Sunday school classes, and shortterm discipleship opportunities for adults. Recruit, train, and support lay leaders for adult formation ministries. Curate curriculum consistent with Wesleyan theology and the church's discipleship pathway. Provide opportunities for spiritual growth through retreats, workshops, and spiritual practices. Integrate digital tools and platforms to support communication, scheduling, and discipleship digitalization. 2. Family Ministry & Intergenerational Engagement Design ministries that support households, including parenting resources, family faith practices, and milestone celebrations. Partner with children's and youth ministry staff to create intergenerational worship, service, and learning experiences. Provide support to families navigating life transitions, crises, and spiritual needs. Serve as an energetic relationshipbuilder, connecting families with mentors, small groups, and church resources. Participate in weekly alignment meetings with Children and Youth Directors to maintain a unified discipleship pathway and communication. 3. Community Building & Congregational Care Foster a culture of hospitality, belonging, and connection among adults and families. Work with clergy and care teams to coordinate pastoral care, including visitation, support groups, and crisis response. Support outreach efforts that engage families in the community and invite them into the life of the church. 4. Leadership, Administration & Stewardship Serve as a key member of the ministry staff team, contributing to strategic planning and visioning. Manage ministry budgets, calendars, communications, and volunteer coordination with strong financial discipline and stewardship. Collaborate with worship planning teams to integrate adult and family ministry themes into worship and seasonal church life. Maintain strict Safe Sanctuaries compliance, ensuring all volunteers complete background checks and training. 5. Preaching & Teaching Preach occasionally at the invitation of the Pastor. Teach adult classes, seminars, and spiritual formation experiences with deep biblical knowledge and Wesleyan theological grounding. Qualifications & Skills Education Experience Bachelor's degree or equivalent work / educational experience. Three to five years of leadership experience in congregational ministry, discipleship formation, or family ministry, preferably in a UMC context.

Work Schedule Full-time 40 hours per week Normal working hours are determined by workload, job requirements, congregation/member needs and with consideration of each employee's individual needs. Position requires weekly Sunday responsibilities, evening programs, occasional weekend events, and overnight retreats.
