Position Summary Mother of Perpetual Help Parish in West Allis is seeking a part time Coordinator for Young and Adult Faith Formation Program. The Coordinator is responsible for the planning, coordination, and leadership of the parish's faith formation for young adults and ongoing catechetical formation of parishioners. The role is central to fostering a dynamic environment rooted in Catholic teaching, where youth and adults grow in discipleship, leadership, prayer, and community. This role supports the lifelong formation of parishioners through formation sessions, Bible studies, events, retreats and ensures all programs are faithful to the teachings of the Roman Catholic Church and compliant with diocesan policies. Young Adult Ministry (Ages 18-29) Plan and implement youth ministry programming that fosters spiritual growth, community, and discipleship Organize youth events, retreats, service projects, and mission opportunities Encourage youth participation in parish liturgical life and service Recruit, train, and support adult volunteers for youth ministry Collaborate with diocesan youth ministry initiatives and events Adult Faith Formation Develop and coordinate faith formation opportunities for parishioners, such as: o OCIA o Adult Confirmation o Bible studies o Faith-sharing groups o Seasonal programs (Advent, Lent etc.) Support lifelong faith formation and parish evangelization efforts Collaborate with parish ministries to integrate formation opportunities Safe Environment & Compliance Ensure full compliance with diocesan Safe Environment requirements Verify background checks and training completion for staff and volunteers Maintain confidential and accurate compliance records Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and respect Administration & Communication Prepare and manage budgets for youth and adult faith formation programs in collaboration with parish leadership Develop calendars, schedules, and communications for programs Communicate clearly and professionally with parishioners, staff, volunteers, and diocesan offices Maintain accurate records and reports as required Collaboration & Parish Life Collaborate closely with the Pastor, Faith Formation Team, parish staff, and ministry leaders Participate in parish staff meetings and planning Support parish liturgies, events, and initiatives as needed Contribute to the overall mission and pastoral life of the parish Qualifications Education and Formation Practicing Catholic in good standing with the Church Bachelor's degree in Theology, Religious Education, Pastoral Ministry, or related field preferred Diocesan catechetical certification (or willingness to obtain) Experience Experience in parish religious education, youth ministry, or faith formation Experience coordinating volunteers Familiarity with Catholic catechetical resources and youth ministry practices Skills and Competencies Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities Ability to work collaboratively with clergy, staff, volunteers, and families Ability to manage multiple ministry areas effectively Pastoral sensitivity and a heart for evangelization Basic proficiency with office and communication technology Ability to work collaboratively within a faith formation team Working Conditions Evening and weekend hours required Occasional overnight retreats or off-site events Flexible schedule to meet ministry needs Physical Requirements Ability to move throughout parish facilities Ability to lift and carry materials (up to approximately 20 pounds) Mission Commitment The Coordinator is expected to: Uphold and support the teachings and mission of the Roman Catholic Church Serve as a Christian role model in conduct and lifestyle Foster a welcoming, respectful, and faith-centered parish environment
