If you enjoy mentoring students and helping them achieve their college goals, we'd love to have you on our team! Responsibilities Provide one-on-one college admissions counseling for high school students Guide students in college selection, application strategy, and admissions planning Advise on course planning, extracurricular activities, and summer opportunities Review and edit college essays, personal statements, and supplemental essays Assist with Common App, UC, CSU, and other college applications Help students develop balanced college lists and admissions strategies Communicate regularly with students and parents regarding progress and deadlines Conduct workshops, seminars, and informational presentations as needed Qualifications Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred Strong knowledge of the U.S. college admissions process Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills Passion for mentoring and working with high school students Highly organized with strong attention to detail Ability to manage multiple students and deadlines simultaneously Previous college counseling, admissions, or educational consulting experience preferred Preferred Qualifications Experience in college admissions, counseling, or higher education Familiarity with UC, CSU, Common App, and private university admissions Knowledge of financial aid and scholarship opportunities Bilingual (English/Mandarin or English/Korean) is a plus
