We are seeking to hire an After School Caretaker who will help provide a safe, caring, and well-organized environment for students after the regular school day from 3:15pm - 5:30pm while reflecting the mission and values of the school. The role combines attentive supervision, positive engagement with students, and faithful management of daily operational responsibilities so that families can have confidence their children are well cared for.
Key responsibilities include:
Student Supervision:
Provide consistent supervision to ensure student safety, appropriate behavior, and positive interactions while indoors, outdoors, and during activities.
Student Engagement:
Foster a welcoming atmosphere by encouraging respectful relationships, organizing age-appropriate activities, and modeling Christlike kindness and patience.
Attendance & Accountability:
Maintain accurate attendance records, ensure students are signed in and signed out by authorized adults, and account for the whereabouts of every child at all times.
Parent Communication:
Welcome parents, communicate courteously regarding pick-up procedures or concerns, and notify appropriate school personnel when needed.
Record-Keeping:
Maintain daily records for attendance, sign-in/sign-out times, and billing documentation to ensure accurate program administration.
School Protocols:
Follow all school policies regarding student safety, emergency procedures, health concerns, discipline, visitor access, and facility security.
Care of Facilities:
Ensure classrooms and activity spaces are clean, orderly, and ready for the next school day.

Demonstrate a joyful, servant-hearted spirit that reflects the love of Christ through words, actions, and relationships with students, families, and colleagues. Ultimately, the After School Caretaker serves as an extension of the school's ministry by providing dependable supervision, nurturing encouragement, and careful stewardship of students and program operations until each child is safely reunited with his or her family.
