Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Victim Advocate to provide vital support to individuals and families affected by trauma, violence, or high-risk situations. In this role, you will serve as a trusted resource, offering emotional support, crisis intervention, and guidance through complex legal and social service systems. Responsibilities Provide immediate crisis intervention and emotional support to victims of violence, abuse, or trauma through in-person and phone consultations. Assist clients in navigating child protective services, child welfare systems, family law proceedings, and other social services. Conduct safety assessments and develop personalized safety plans tailored to each client's unique circumstances. Advocate on behalf of clients with law enforcement agencies, courts, healthcare providers, and community organizations to ensure their needs are prioritized. Offer guidance on behavioral health issues, conflict management strategies, and coping techniques to promote resilience. Maintain detailed case documentation, client communication records, and progress reports with clarity and accuracy using Microsoft Office tools. Support clients with diverse backgrounds by working effectively with culturally diverse communities and individuals with disabilities or special needs. Skills Strong knowledge of child protective services, child welfare policies, and family law procedures. Proven experience in crisis management, crisis intervention techniques, and high-risk population support. Excellent communication skills—both written and verbal—to effectively advocate for clients and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams. Ability to work compassionately with children, families, and individuals experiencing behavioral health challenges or disabilities. Bilingual proficiency is highly desirable to serve diverse community members effectively. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications for documentation and reporting purposes. First aid and CPR certification to ensure safety during emergency situations. Experience working with children or in childcare settings is preferred to better understand developmental needs. This is a 42 hour shift starting Friday at 6am ending Saturday at midnight. You will have 5 consecutive days off.

Pay:

$14.00 per hour Expected hours: 42.0 per week
