Life Steps Foundation Children and Family Services is currently seeking full and part-time Early Interventionists to work in the San Gabriel Valley. Early Interventionist is responsible for providing 1-to-1 in-home early intervention services in the child's natural environment. Early Interventionists are also responsible for working with families to identify and respond to children's developmental needs and progress.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES
Effectively plan for and assist children in becoming developmentally age appropriate and/or teaching their full developmental potential for inclusion in natural environments. Provide parents resources and information related to their child's needs. Provide a possible emotional support in assisting parents accepting their child's strength and weakness. Complete authorized service hours and adhere to agreed upon schedules. Help the child and family transition to an appropriate preschool program. Submit complete, accurate, and legible billing and payroll documents in a timely manner. Submit monthly client reports by phone or email to regional center coordinators. Address IFSP, IPP, and IEP goals and objectives and incorporate in the reports.
ESSENTIAL JOB REQUIREMENTS
Minimum of an BA degree and two (2) years field related experience with young children. (BA or MA in human development, early childhood education [15 units or more], psychology, or other social services area is preferable). Have theoretical knowledge of infant and child development and understand the importance of the parent/child relationship. Valid Driver's License, reliable transportation and current auto insurance. Be able to attend monthly staff meetings, trainings and supervisions. Have experience working with both typical (non-delayed) and atypical children and their families is highly preferred.
Bilingual:

Offered compensation:
$23/hr
